Your own pictures and videos, attached in the chat or uploaded through the API.

Attach a file in the chat with the paperclip, and mention it: “use this picture for #3”. Through the API, ask for an upload URL and put the file there, or hand us a public URL to fetch. Either way the file gets an id and a permanent address on our domain that networks fetch from when publishing.

Large videos go straight from your browser to storage, not through the API, so a 500 MB upload does not hold anything up. Each network's size, format and length limits are checked before publishing; see the network pages for the numbers.
